CoreBackend Workplace Policy

CoreBackend is a remote-first company. Our team is distributed and works from wherever they are most productive. We hire for outcomes, not desk time, and trust people to manage their own schedule while collaborating reliably with the team.

Primary Workplace Policy

CoreBackend operates as a fully remote organization. Employees are not required to work from a central office and may perform their work from their home office, coworking space, or another suitable environment, subject to legal and security requirements.

Where We Work

Team members work remotely from their chosen location, generally within time zones that allow for some overlap with the rest of the team for meetings and collaboration. Any role-specific location or time zone requirements are communicated clearly in the job description.

Working Hours & Flexibility

We offer flexible working hours with a focus on clear commitments and results. We aim for a reasonable amount of shared working time for real-time collaboration; outside of that, employees manage their own schedule and use async communication to stay aligned.

Communication & Collaboration

We rely on written communication, regular check-ins, and clear documentation. Day-to-day collaboration happens through tools such as issue trackers, shared documents, and video calls. We default to async updates and reserve meetings for topics that benefit from real-time discussion.

Remote Work Setup & Security

Employees are expected to maintain a reliable internet connection and a workspace that supports focused work and protects company and customer data. This includes following CoreBackend’s security guidelines for devices, access, and data handling.

Culture & Expectations

We value ownership, transparency, and respect for each other’s time. Team members are expected to communicate clearly, keep commitments, and proactively raise issues or blockers. We trust people to manage their work and communicate early when priorities or circumstances change.
